So over the past two weekends, the girls have completely destroyed their room on Friday night and taken the entire rest of the weekend to clean it up. Unfortunately, half the time, the cleaning it up has been stuffing it under the bed. So at the end of my rope, I told the girls that if it wasn't done by Saturday afternoon (when I got home from VITA) then they would not be going to the birthday party for Nya on Sunday. Of course, when I returned home, it was not done.
Feeling sorry for the girls, I granted them an extension until Saturday night. Again, it wasn't done.
In a last ditch attempt to get it finished, I extended the deadline to Sunday when I was leaving for the party. The party started a 3pm, and was about 30 minutes away, so I needed to leave at 2:30. At 3pm, I was finally walking out of the door and the room was still not done. As I walked out the door with Logan in tow, the girls are at the front door screaming bloody murder about promising to get it done. I felt horrible, but still didn't give in and take them with me.
By Sunday night the room was still not clean and as of this moment, it is still a mess! I am at a loss as to what to do to get them to clean it!!
Logan had a fun weekend. He went to the birthday party on Sunday. Although he started out acting really shy, he warmed up to my friend's boyfriend (and Nya's daddy) pretty quickly. He loved running around the yard and chasing bubbles with Nya. Although in a terrifying, yet hysterical coincidence, he was jumping around and nearly fell on a butcher's knife in the yard. My poor friend was mortified (we were at her sister's house) and couldn't believe that it happened. thankfully, I saw the knife in time and was informed that it was dull (not that I think that if he fell on it it wouldn't make a serious injury).
On our way to drop Logan off at the babysitters house on Monday, Logan decided that for my birthday (this Friday) he is going to make me some orange juice. He is also going to pick all of the seeds out because I don't like seeds in my orange juice.

Another crazy Week
We had Girl Scouts this week and it was cookie pick up. Kim loves Girl Scouts although it is quite possible that next year we will be participating in some kind of sport. Since we have been going to GS in Lakeland for the past three years, it is quite the adventure to get there and makes for a long night. Since one of my closest friends is not going to be a leader next year, we are going to be either switching to a new troup or switching to a new extracurricular activity. Kim has mentioned wanting to take dance lessons again or cheerleading, so we will see what she wants to do when the time comes.
Picked up Chloe and Logan while I was there. Of course, I didn't get my jackets back, which is why I never let them take them home because now it is 40 degrees out and Chloe and Logan only have sweatshirts to wear. Since when is a sweatershirt the same thing as a jacket?? Chloe is also not going to get to do any cookie booths because her mother won't take her to any of them. Normally, I would take her to them, but I am working all day at a couple of them and I am working at VITA, so I can't take her.
I was really happy that Commercial Trial Ad is over for the week. I was Virginia Young this week. I enjoyed playing the witness and apparently did a decent job. I dislike talking in front of people though, so it was pretty nerve racking and I was shaking. Thankfully no one noticed. Although it does appear that no one has realized that I shake when I am playing attorney too!

Welcome to the New Blog
I have been looking for a place to catalog all the craziness that is our family, without much luck in finding a suitable location. Hopefully, this will be the best place for everyone to find out what is going on in our lives! Being from a family with a rather large extended family, it is often difficult to find one place for everyone to learn about what is happening with us.
Today was one of our quiet days. Kim was out of school for President's Day, so we stayed home. I spent most of the day studying, while Kim watched movies and played with Kaleb.
We got Kaleb a bone that is almost as big as he is and he wore himself out trying to eat it. We are hoping that keeping him occupied is the way to get him to stop destroying stuff.
